Descripción
Sumario:In this paper the discussion group is used as a qualitative technique to discover the key aspects of evaluation of university teaching, as well as their consequences and implications. The discussion group was formed by 6 university teachers (plus one coordinator) with the objective of obtaining an illustrative and, at the same time, sufficiently rich panorama, allowing for a profound exploration of the questions of interest. The research process is described in detail, and the results organized into eight categories of analysis. From the results, relevant conclusions are deduced concerning the perception of the teacher evaluation from the point of view of the involved professionals and some suggestions for the elaboration of indicators and other analysis categories that will allow, in combination with additional complementary techniques, a deeper understanding of the key questions in teacher evaluation.
