Sumario:Because of their physical, chemical, geological and biologicalcharacteristics sea integrates a verycomplex and interesting ecosystem. Forthis reason research should also beinterdisciplinary as well asmultidisciplinary in order to linkmarine sciences and oceanography withsociety. In Mexico, the existing qualified staffdoes not satisfy the demand, both inquantity and in quality, to fulfill thepositions necessary for the exploitationof renewable and non renewablenatural resources. In this work it is proposed a revision ofprograms at schools, so that the educationof scientific, technical and humanresources specialized in marine sciencesmay satisfy present and future needs inthe field of marine research and theinherent technological development.
