| Sumario: | A one-dimensional dispersion numerical model, based on continuity, salt and contaminant balance equations, is applied to Estero Punta Banda, B. C. The model output gives special and temporal concentration variations of a contaminant, locally and instantaneously introduced, in a given segment of the Estero. Calibration is performed by comparing model solution for a particular case, with actual measurements of a fluorescent tracer concentration decay, previously injected in one location. Model simulation of contaminant introduction in different segments of the Estero, under the same hydrodynamical conditions, makes possible a flushing rate zone division of the Estero. |
