Resumo:The present article explains the process that describes Cuban emigration and the construction of the Cuban-American community since XIX century, that issue responses to: 1. The political convulsions and the social and economic Cuban dynamic, 2. The level and character of relations between Cuba and the United States, especially after 1959, and 3. The self-reproduction of that phenomenon starting from the main characteristics of persons and involved families, in such particular Cuba conditions, Cubans in Miami and US as the reception society. The politic factors have a very strong component in different periods, and offers a specific character and brings advantages to Cuban population respect other migrations from Latin America and the Caribbean, specially, because of the emigration exceptionality at sixties and the special immigration US policy toward Cuban people.
