| Sumario: | This paper tries to make a quick tour of the different attempts that proposed to link scientific and disciplinary knowledge. The central thesis is that there is a marked tendency in the contemporary scientific development that goes from analysis to synthesis, that is, we move from the study of relatively isolated and delimited objects, to the approach of problems and search for solution that requires integration or complementarity. This trend has led to greater inter and transdisciplinarity. This essay, after proposing some assumptions and initial premises, describes the most relevant attempts at articulation or unification of the sciences raised during the last century and the present. Finally, one of the most promising proposals at present is the emergence of complexity, which has different aspects that call for the dialogue of sciences, disciplines and even other non-scientific knowledge. |
