Sumario:The occupation time of an age-dependent branching particle system is considered, where the particles are subject to random migration, random lifetimes and branching. Under the usual independence assumptions in branching processes, we give a characterization of the occupation time of such branching system by means of its transition Laplace functional. In the case of nite variance branching (and large mobility of individuals), a large time limit theorem for the occupation time process is obtained.
