Campos ópticos singulares en la investigación de aberraciones de frente de onda y su aplicación a la óptica visual

Using an exact ray tracing, we study the diacaustics and catacoustics that are created by refraction and reflection at different surfaces illuminated by a point source at different positions. From the corresponding bundle of rays, the associated wavefronts are constructed. Once the wavefronts are cr...

Descripción
Sumario:Using an exact ray tracing, we study the diacaustics and catacoustics that are created by refraction and reflection at different surfaces illuminated by a point source at different positions. From the corresponding bundle of rays, the associated wavefronts are constructed. Once the wavefronts are created their propagation are studied using the wave equation showing the formation of the caustics. We present the corresponding results for conic surfaces and a gradient index slab. We present results for paraxial and non-paraxial cases.
