| Resumo: | In this paper the use of mechanical design software and an algorithm for simulating the operation of the solar flat plate collector, in order to simplify the design process and manufacturing is highlighted. Simulation results of the operation of the solar collector considering different combinations construction parameters are set taking into account a certain amount of material selected for its properties and physicochemical characteristics, in addition to varying the dimensions of the system design. The operation of a solar collector for the conditions of Havana, Cuba is evaluated. The simulation takes into account the typical sinusoidal curves from weather conditions, how to irradiance, wind speed and ambient temperature. Finally, this paper focuses attention on verifying the feasibility of the algorithm as a support tool in the design stage of this type of solar collectors and improves the selection of materials for construction |
