The results are compared with those obtained by other authors.Se aplica la ecuación de conservación de energía térmica a la capa superior oceánica del Golfo de México, usando parametrizaciones para los términos de calentamiento y transporte. Se simula la temperatura de la superficie del mar, el ciclo anual del balance de radiación, los flujos de calor latente y calor sensible así como el balance de calor oceánico.
