| Sumario: | The man in a society not only faces the natural risks, and the traditionally known ones that are part of the same social dynamics, as the delinquency, insecurity, economic instability, etc; but also the problems caused by the fast urban growth; that is to say, the risk socially built by people who decide to settle in unsuitable places to be urbanized, presenting unfavorable natural conditions, such as potential flood areas, which have geographical features with a high probability of mass removal or any other type of risk; these are the reasons why, it has been decided to raise the risk produced by the urban growth; this is the case of flooding faced by the inhabitants from San Mateo Atenco municipality , in areas that are considered unsuitable to be urbanized. |
