| Sumario: | In accordance with the LFT (Federal Labor Law), labor contracts can be held indefinitely, for a specific job or a given time, if the nature of their work so demands, or to invest in the extractive industry the former being the general rule and the others, the exceptions. But labor reality, of everyday, has led employers to hold contracts with their workers that do not adhere to the rules, arguing that these are restrictive and limiting, preventing them from participating in the national and international economic processes with the same conditions competitiveness done by other nations. Holding contracts for a specific job and specific time, without appropriate precedent; they are contracting for trail periods and apprenticeship; home jobs qualify as single owed enterprises, intermediaries, placement agencies, casual businesses and subcontracting services have emerged as alternatives for avoiding the obligations of labor and social security; teamwork, personnel assignment, relief contracts and other forms that violate workers rights have surged. This article is complemented by worker surveys and interviews with employers and authorities. |
