Sumario:In the early poetry of Federico García Lorca God is continually sought in an allegorical way. This inquiry starts from a pessimistic conception of man’s destiny on earth, which encourages the hope of finding a life beyond this one. This metaphorical search moves between the extremes of the finite life and the spiritual life. Both extremes are represented by two symbols that since ancient times have alluded to death and evil (darkness) and hope and life (light). This space is dedicated to the meticulous interpretation of the possible meanings of the star, a polysemic and changing representation of the hope of escaping from human mortality.
