In addition, large females in the first year of pregnancy seemed to be separated from those in the second year of pregnancy.Un muestreo oportunista reveló una estructura poblacional compleja para Squalus megalops en el sureste de Australia. Se analizaron un total de 929 tiburones. La razón de sexos estuvo sesgada hacia las hembras y se observó dimorfismo sexual en la talla, alcanzando las hembras una mayor talla máxima que los machos. El análisis individual de algunos lances de pesca mostró que S. megalops tiene una estructura poblacional compleja y que presenta segregación por sexo, talla y condición reproductiva.
