Sumario:To identify the attention process that the nurse realises during the preoperative visit to the programmed patient surgery and to determine the quality of attention during this process. Material and methods. A study of shade in a sample to convenience of 16 general nurses and surgical nurses of the matutinal and vespertine turn of the area of operating room of Medical Center ISSET took place during the period included from the 20 to the 25 of June of 2008. The data were successfully obtained by a distant observer in Guide of directed observations, same previously that constrated later with the ideal Model (flow chart) made of the phases of the process nurse of the preoperative visit, that was put under a Delphi process modified before diverse surgical specialistic nurses. In order to have the validity and trustworthiness of the harvesting instrument, a pilot test during the preoperative visit of infirmary in the service of operating room of the Regional Hospital De Alta took place Specialty “Dr. Juan Graham Casasús”, the collected data were analyzed in the program of statistics of Microsoft Excel (determination of absolute and relative frequencies) carrying out a comparison with base at the level of studies of the participant nurses and phases of the process nurse.
