Sumario:In this 21st century, the use of drugs has become one of the most important therapeutic measures to restore, maintain health and increase the life expectancy of the population. However, to guarantee an effective therapy without side effects, it is essential to know the drug accurately and the way how it is administered. Because it is very common for patients to have a simultaneous intake of several medicines, and mainly because if these drugs are being administered is due to a state of disease, the functional alterations of various organs of the body and possible interactions among drugs can lead to the emergence of complex situations that cannot be adequately predicted without knowledge of the drug pharmacokinetics.
