Resumo:In the following article, I intend to reconstruct some aspects of the place utopia has occupied in the Marxist thought tradition. Focusing on two moments —the original formulations of Marx and Engels, and the consequent reappropriation of them by famous Marxist philosophers of the twentieth century— I intend to trace the ambivalent place that has taken the interpretation of utopia in some of the most famous contributions of Marxist thought.
