Descripción
Sumario:This article provides a comparative analysis of visits by residents with different and polarized socioeconomic characteristics to recreational parks in three areas of Mérida, Yucatán. The methodology was based on the use of Google Earth and ArcGIS 13 surveys and software. The results show that none of the areas has a sufficient supply of parks or proper equipment. However, the accessibility for users, both physical and perceived, their social and economic contexts as well as their consumer qualities, mean that each group uses these spaces in a particular way.
