Descripción
Sumario:In this text I make a reflection about the phenomenon of early age pregnancy in Yucatán since an intersectional perspective, taking up some of the rural municipalities that report a higher number of cases. I emphasize the construction of this analysis from the confluence of intersected variables such as education and ethnicity, that are explained due to the conditions of systematic inequality in which population lives, specifically women. More than causing them, early age pregnancy is preceded by marginalization and inequality. It is reiterated the importance of the exercise based on intersectionality that analyzes the conditions of the risk contexts; this base will allow us to start the reflection on the reasons for adolescent pregnancy, to formulate pertinent actions in a second moment. Institutional intervention without sociocultural analysis that sustains it, will have limitations in its impact, and will only contribute to a discursive rhetoric on gender.
