Sumario:The purpose of this article is to analyze the contributions that have been made to the field of Latin American Studies from the graduate program taught at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). From a quantitative and qualitative analy-sis of the degree theses presented between 1974 and 2020, this research points out on the interests and concerns that have addressed these analyses. To this end, the theoretical and epistemological tensions, the debates on the multidisciplinary approach, as well as the incidence that the political and social processes of the region have had on the topics, countries and temporalities addressed are addressed.
