| Sumario: | Earth Observation Satellites have been acquiring images across the entire world for decades. However, a technological lag has prevented analyzing the vast amount of satellite data currently available. Until recently, most studies focused on relatively small regions and short periods of time, but the potential of this imagery allows addressing issues at global scale and spanning long periods of time. Google Earth Engine is an innovative tool that facilitates geospatial analyses using cloud processing and data archives. It thus provides an interesting alternative to solve the technological lag, and hence be able to analyze the large files of satellite data currently available. |
