Sumario:The purpose of this study is to develop a wind spectrum model for the siteof the new Mexican Optical-Infrared Telescope (TIM) to be installed at the Sierraof San Pedro Mártir. This model will be useful in the study and design of thestructure and building that will contain the telescope. This paper summarizes theresults of our initial analysis of selected wind data obtained at the site with asampling frequency of 40 Hz. For each data set we calculated the power spectraldensity. A power law / f for the high frequency part of the spectrum was fittedand the spectral index was found to be in the range of 0.625 to 0.969, and todepend on the wind direction. The frequency for the maximum of the spectrumlies in the range of 0.008 to 0.017 Hz. These studies should be repeated once thebuilding is installed at the site due to changes in the site topography.
