Descrição
Resumo:This research investigates the quantitative and qualitative growth of the National Federation of Industrial and Workers Unions of Chile (FENASITRAIN) which brings together a dozen unions of subcontracted workers forestry industry of the La Araucanía region of southern Chile. It seeks to explain the constitution and characterization of the trade union model (De la Garza, 2004) in this organization of subcontracted workers. This research problem is aimed at learning about the experience of a trade union organization that has been able to organize and develop since outsourcing, as a working condition that conditions unionization efforts due to labor flexibility in a deunionized context. 5 Through the epistemological perspective of articulated reconstruction (Zemelman, 2011), the main findings on the identification of different stages characterized by different objectives emerge, decanting in a prominence of collective bargaining, which has allowed them to resist the defiliation of the bases and trade union inactivity. In other words, the union model of this Federation is dynamic in response to the constant reconfiguration of the conditions of trade union-company relations, the internal trade union structure, and its relations with state institutions and other actors in society.
