Sumario:This article studies the functioning, life and prognosis of this hospital in the late 18th and early 19th century. To this end, it describes the importance of medical diagnosis, the forms of referral to the leper hospital in the capital, conflicts with St. Anthony’s Hospital and relations with the Royal Medical Court. It also explains the problems it experienced in supporting itself with such slender means, the description of the hospital precinct and aspects of the patients’ lives, focusing on the medical and spiritual treatment they were given.
