| Sumario: | The definition of political communication field depends on the general position adopted on communication. This paper discusses three possibilities of a conceptual definition of political communication based on Sfez’s communication metaphors proposal: mechanic political communication, organic political communication and tautological political communication. At last, there is a reflection about the consequences that such definitions have for public opinion studies. |
