| Resumo: | Enzymatic bioremediation is a technology derived from bioremediation in order to reduce the undesirable effects of pollutants in the environment. Among the most dangerous pollutants are the so-called persistent, which are mostly organochlorinated compounds. Its persistence in the environment is mainly due to its physical and chemical stability, as well as its low biodegradability in the environment. In works previously carried out by our research group, in the laboratory of toxicological biochemistry, it was found that the plant Ocimun basilicum has a bioremediating effect on endosulfan, an organochlorinated pesticide. |
