| Resumo: | This article has two objectives: the first is to identify the main themes regarding the teaching profession addressed by Eurydice; and the second, is to analyze the configuration of the teaching profession in Europe. To achieve these objectives, a content analysis of the reports published by Eurydice from 2001 to 2019 was carried out. Of the 16 initial documents, four were analyzed after applying the relevant exclusion criteria. This process was developed using the qualitative analysis software Atlas.ti 22.0 from a code book made up of six families around the teaching profession. As a result, the main topics addressed in these reports are lifelong learning, professional development, evaluation, and the working conditions of teachers, although there is little reference to the attraction and retention of teachers. From a systemic approach, this is how the teaching profession is configured. |
