| Sumario: | Family means the world for children, and the parental pair is the main support of this world. They, besides covering the basic needs of children, they provide love and care, which make children to feel safe. Therefore, the separation between parents becomes an experience that provokes a severe disturbance in children’s world in such a way that it may been felt as its destruction. When separation of parents occurs in the context of a conflict between them, the severity of the situation increases as well as the emotional and behavioural response of children. This paper aims at showing a general overview of the effects of conflictive separation between the parental pair in their children. |
