Summary:This document presents the current situation in the state of Hidalgo from a demographic perspective, aspects such as geographical location, population size, and population data fundamental aspects of population transition, epidemiological transition and linkages between population and public health, conceptual definitions interrelated with population health in the state. Because public health has an eminently social character, its relationship with demographics is intrinsic and social sciences make itself the area where the health-disease process develops this could undoubtedly indicates that epidemiology is both clinical and social to present intersections with population health.
