Sumario:Bursera glabrifolia, it’s a species of difficult reproduction due to exogenous dormancy in seeds and soil and climate conditions. The objective was to evaluate the germination efficiency of seeds from selected white copal trees. During 2014, groups of 75 seeds were collected and characterized; submerged in 99.5% acetone, Coca-Cola® gaseous drink and cacomixtle (Bassariscus-sumichrasti) excrement, then rinsed and sanded. Variability was found for size and number of seeds kg-1; the immersion in Coca-Cola® obtained 66% of energy period (EP) at nine days (greater vigor); contrary to acetone with 34 days and 11.33% EP. Results show the convenience of selecting tree seeds and chemical scarification to accelerate germination, an alternative to propagate the species.
