| Sumario: | In this work it is studied the uprising of the Chiricahuis Apaches in 1790, led by José Reyes Pozo, former Apache captive in Sonora and member of the auxiliary troops stationed in that town. It studies the problems of domination and sociocultural change of the Apaches subdued in that province, in order to explain his opposition to Spanish control. The author particularly outlines the life of José Reyes Pozo between the Apache and Spanish borderline world and the circumstances in which his interests and those of the chiricahuis coincided. |
