Chromosomal alterations induced by the thiocarbamate herbicide molinate (ordram) in Vicia faba

Primary roots of Vicia jaba were exposed to 25, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400 pprn of thethiocarbamic herbicide molinate (ordram) for 4 h with recovery periods of 3, 8 and 14 h.The cells were scored for chromosome aberrations in metaphase and anaphase as chromatidand isochromatid breaks, and chromatid r...

Sumario:Primary roots of Vicia jaba were exposed to 25, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400 pprn of thethiocarbamic herbicide molinate (ordram) for 4 h with recovery periods of 3, 8 and 14 h.The cells were scored for chromosome aberrations in metaphase and anaphase as chromatidand isochromatid breaks, and chromatid rings in the former and single fragments andbridges, chromosomes with inactivated centromeres, isochromosonies and alterations in themitotic spindle in the later.
