Sumario:Indigenous migrations have been an important part of the configuration of the population of the City of Pachuca. Such migration has primarily been driven by better employment opportunities that the indigenous people do not have in their territories. In this context Pachuca is a very important point for studying the relationship between migration and employment. The issue to be addressed by this study is the empirical support that indigenous migrants -because of their low levels of education- are inserted into usually precarious jobs in the informal sector. The analysis of this situation will be carried out through the study of biographical life stories since these allow learning about the differences in the career paths in the average age at first use, the insertion sector and occupation, as well as socio-demographic characteristics of individuals.
