Sumario:In the present work, the state of the art that preserves the additive manufacturing is reviewed in terms of the advances in the improvement of its materials, specifically, through the incorporation of composite materials, such as carbon fiber. In addition, a review of the conventional processes of the manufacture of composites and analyzes the degree of the application of the manufacture and the composite materials in the manufacture of the transtibial prosthesis for sport use, with the objective of identifying improvement opportunities.
