| Resumo: | In places where it is not a need to read and write, it is necesary to help children to accomplished the task to learn. Every group is different so there is a need to know the children ́s previous knowledge, the par-ents expectations about education, the community culture and lan-guage. This work is adressed to explain the process of adquisition of writing and reading within a group of children belonging to a iliterate community in the Lacandon Jungle. All this practice was stablished in the base of drawing as a tool to start the traces of writing and for mo-tivation and understanding the reading. We consider that drawing is the way children can express emotions, fantasies and their world be-fore they are able to use the signs of letters. On the other hand it exist in Chiapas a long tradition for drawing as a way of communication. |
