Sumario:In this work the effects of preincubation of certain agrochemical substances with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) prior to chemiluminescent assay is reported. A wide range of chemicals have been investigated to determine if they influence on enhanced light emission. Preincubation of herbicide, detergent, phenol and bactericide with HRP prior to chemilurninescent assay had an inhibitory effect on the enzyme activity. Preincubation of some insecticides with HRP increased the chemilurninescent intensity. Using standard solutions, calibration plots were obtained and quantification of the pollutant concentration was possible. It was demonstrated that light emission from the peroxidase catalyzed enhanced chemilurniniscent reaction can be modified by various chemicals allowing a qualitative monitoring of the water.
