Sumario:The consumption of sweetened beverages today seems to represent daily life in terms of its intake and its effects associated with metabolic diseases such as; hypertension, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, obesity, overweight hypertriglyceridemia and metabolic syndrome. This causes important changes in the life of human populations to such a degree of being considered a serious public health problem, since it increases the incidence of cases of diseases that in turn cause greater expenditure in health care, the same situation that leaves glimpse the urgency of research being done in this field of knowledge.
