Resumo:Without a doubt, with the conquest of America everything would be re—signified: pyramids, stelae, mats, murals, food and drink; but it is important to emphasize that Tlazohteotl is the best example of the Spanish reaction to Mexican symbols and their incomprehension, since no other symbol had more negative burdens on the part of the Spaniards than Tlazohteotl.
