Descripción
Sumario:Collaborative process among stakeholders, through governance agreements, may foster innovation in a territory. These territorial governance agreements (TGAs) could be held between Productive Units (PUs) and stakeholders from scientific-technological (S&T), industrial-productive (P&I) and government-institutional (G&I) structures. Considering this, the main objective of this paper is to analyze the effects of the TGAs on the level of innovation of PUs in the agri-food system of amaranth in Mexico City. To do this, a mixed methodology was used based on case study, semi-structured interviews and a survey applied to each PU’s owners. The information was analyzed using statistical methods and a qualitative analysis was performed considering each PU’s type of innovations. It is concluded that if the level of TGAs within stakeholders increase, so does the innovation level in the PUs in the amaranth agri-food system.
