Summary:In this study we present the research of a one-single case study and the description of intergenerational transmission, using a methodology known as Grounded Theory. The bases of the theory are explained, as well as the study of the case which illustrates the use of methodology within the theory of Bowen on intergenerational transmission. From this study, we address the importance of qualitative methodology in family research. A conceptual analysis is conducted on intergenerational transmission in this single case.
