| Sumario: | In this thesis the characterization and analysis of a Coherent, Mira Optima 900-F Laser, which is a Titanium:Sapphire(Ti:Al₂O₃) Kerr lens mode-lock laser located at INAOE´s Nonlinear Optical Characterization Laboratory was carried out. The spatial shape and the temporal duration of the ultra-short laser pulses generated by this laser cavity were determined. The cavity analysis was done using ABCD matrices. Using this formalism the propagation of the Gaussian beam in the Kerr medium was obtained. Laser characteristics were carried out using the knife-edge test to the perpendicular directions of the propagation vector for the spatial profiling and the temporal duration of the pulse width measured using a two photon absorption in a LED autocorrelation. |
