Descripción
Sumario:This paper aimed to analyze wages and salaries, turnover and absenteeism, and job profiles in six productive sectors of Guanajuato –agribusiness, footwear, tannery, metalworking, plastics and automotive- to explain the impact of vocational guidance as a strategy of development. The methodological strategy was qualitative with an explanatory orientation; the analyzed data wascollected with an instrument applied to those responsible for the human resources area throughconvenience sampling in 112 companies installed in the state. The main findings showed a significant labor dynamism in all the productive sectors studied and the labor incorporation of young university students -mainly from engineering areas- in national and foreign companies; however, there was evidence of a strong imbalance between labor supply and demand, high labor mobility from other federal entities and abroad, and a pattern of low wages and limited workingconditions for university students
