Descrição
Resumo:Here, we report an in situ observation of an ocular malformation known as anophthalmia (absent eye) in the continental treefrog Isthmohyla graceae, an endemic and critically endangered species from the Serranía de Tabasará, Ngäbe-Buglé region, Panama, in March 2020. This note documents the first reported malformation in Panama and the first record for the genus in Central America, mentioning that this type of case may be due to different factors.
