Descrição
Resumo:The bonding of indirect brackets is a cementing technique that allows us to place the bracket in the best possible position, as we work in plaster models it is easy to visualize from all angles the position of the bracket. To clean the surface of the resin at the base of the bracket, chemical substances such as acetone, alcohol and phosphoric acid are used. The formation of an interface between the previously cured photo resin and the adhesive at the base of the bracket is common in this technique, this interface makes it easier to clean the tooth at the time of bracket detachment. In this thesis the physical and chemical characteristics suffered by the surface of the resin of the base of the bracket were analyzed by cementing the gypsum model in the indirect technique and applying to the surface of the resin pure acetone, methyl methacrylate , 96% ethanol and 35% phosphoric acid. The strength of deceased brackets was also studied when cementing them with the indirect cementing technique subsequent to the application of the aforementioned substances. The samples studied were human premolars, brackets of lower incisors and of Standart .022 "metal premolars with resin in the base.
