Descripción
Sumario:Article published in Journal of Hypertension, Elsevier Science. Translation by César Gonzalo Calvo Vargas. The cost of antihypertensive drugs is one of the main limitations in achieving patient control. This paper compares two studies carried out in Mexico, one in 1990 and the other in 1996. The main objective was to determine the annual cost in US dollars of the different antihypertensive drugs available on the market and to compare their evolution between 1990 and 1996. We also determined the percentage they represent of the monthly minimum wage during that period.
