Through the study of the poem’s drafts, the article discovers little-known aspects of the genesis of Huerta’s new poetic style, which came to be shaped by the authorial reworking of the original manuscripts and typescrpits. Finally, it collates the printed testimonies to show similar processes in the textual phase of the cycle of Los hombres del alba as well as in other instances of his poetic oeuvre.Este artículo busca reconstruir el proceso compositivo y la transmisión textual de “La poesía enemiga” de Efraín Huerta, poema de intrincada historia, sobre todo en su etapa pre-textual. Describe los borradores y descubre aspectos poco conocidos de la génesis de un nuevo estilo poético, pulido en las campañas de correcciones a que el poeta sometía sus manuscritos y mecanuscritos originales.
