Resumo:The purpouse of this reseach was study of some metabolites of pharmacological importance in the cocoa beans (Theobroma cacao L.), which they have been used since pre-Columbian times to make chocolate (Miranda, 1962, Motamayor et al., 2002 a, b) With this, it seeks to create an interest in its propagation and sustainable use, as it has been doing AUDES Cacao - Chocolate Department at Universidad Atonoma de Chiapas in the states of Tabasco and Chiapas in Mexico (López-Báez y Ramírez-González, 2009)
