Descripción
Sumario:The work of Miguel de Unamuno has generated, from early on, intense debates. The controversies surrounding his work and his own person have not been settled, and I suppose they never will be. He himself wanted to avoid being pigeonholed. This has also allowed the continuous review of his texts and his life, as shown not only by current academic studies but also by the dissemination of his ideas through newspaper articles, videos, films, and theater plays. Hence the full relevance of the work of the Spanish philosopher, nivolista, playwright and poet. In this work I intend to highlight two philosophical aspects or dimensions that, in general, have been scarcely treated in studies of Unamuno’s work. I refer to the methodological dimension, particularly hermeneutic, of his work, and to the ethical-political dimension, embodied in his agonistic and, as some more recent studies address it, linked to the concept of baroqueethos from the category of tertium datur, that is, to a particularly baroque attitude to face vital problems.
