Descrição
Resumo:This study shows the catalytic converter developed by the Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo (IMP) on the basis of non precious metals. This converter can utilize leaded and unleaded gasolines. The optimum performance of the IMP converter is achieved with afuel injection system or with a closed-loop A/F ratio control system. This converter was developed for IMP under the auspices for PEMEX-Refination and is a contribution to the air quality improvement research program in Mexico City Metropolitan Area (MCMA). It was designed for car models older than 1990, but it can be used in newer models, too.
