| Resumo: | Based on an analysis comparing results from opinion polls, this article proposes possible political and electoral scenarios, mainly in Mexico City, for the election that will be held in 2012. Although the capital city of Mexico has been ruled by the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) since 1997, a new electoral picture has developed due to the increase in popularity among Mexican voters of Enrique Peña Nieto, the presidential candidate for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). This has decreased the political inclination for the PRD in Mexico city, as for the current ruling party, the National Action Party. |
