| Sumario: | This paper answers to the interest from our research group. in the use of the new and important tool. namely the Global Positioning System known as G.P.S. One of the satellite systems transmits two radio frequency carriers in the L band Ll, at center frequency of 1575.42 MHz and L2 at center frequency of 1227.6 MHz. These frequencies are coherently selected multiples of the 10.23 MHz standard Cs or Rb clock frequency. The two carriers are modulated in phase by a navigation message and by two pseudo-random binary codes or sequencies called P (Precision Code) and C/A (Clear-Acquisition Code). After the signal has been received by the earth station. and the data processed, valuable information can be obtamed. A receiver station should consists of the two mam blocks or systems: a) The actual G.P.S. receiver and antenna. (b) The data collecting, storing and processing system. The frrst step in our research work is the study of the signal transmitted or received by the different types of G.P.S. receivers, and the possibility of adapting them by means of an interface to a system of the (b) type available from a previous project. |
